The tissues surrounding the teeth (bone, gingiva, cementum, periodontal membrane) are called periodontal tissues.<\/h4>\n

Diseases seen in these tissues are called periodontal disease. Periodontal diseases are inflammatory diseases involving the gingiva and jawbone. Gum diseases are one of the most important causes of tooth loss. It can be easily treated with early diagnosis.<\/h4>\n

In the early treatment of gingival diseases, it is ensured that plaque and tartar on the teeth are removed, and a smooth root surface is obtained. Patients are informed about correct and regular oral care, tooth brushing, and flossing. After the scaling is cleaned, the plaque is removed and a smooth root surface is provided, the gums will regain their health by giving the necessary importance to the oral care of the person. In more advanced cases, surgery may be required.<\/h4>\n

After periodontal treatment, our patients should visit the dentist regularly. The continuation of the success achieved with periodontal treatment is directly proportional to the care our patients show for their daily oral care.<\/h4>\n

How do I know?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Red and bleeding gums, sensitive and swollen gums, bleeding during brushing, gingiva that separates easily from the teeth, increased gaps between the teeth, swaying of the teeth, inflammatory discharge from the gums and teeth, and constant bad breath are the most common symptoms of gum disease.<\/h4>\n

The healthy gingiva is a pale pink, matte tissue with roughness on the surface like the orange peel. Microbial bacterial plaque that accumulates on the tooth and covers the tooth surface is the main cause of periodontal diseases.<\/h4>\n<\/div>
